Updates and Announcements 10/17/2021

These days, I amaze myself with just how much effort I put into planning then have my efforts contrast with just how badly I fail. Much of what I’ve planned last quarter didn’t happen. I’ve made and am still making adjustments this quarter to stay on track with my current goals. If I ever find a working formula, I might write a book on productivity.

Despite my negligence, I will write at least 3 Fruitful Growth in the Faith posts this quarter. This series is special to me. “For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 1:8. I want to share this gift with everyone. So, I’ll tirelessly work each day to defeat my hesitation and procrastination. It’s all I ever think about every day. I’ve been hesitating to write this post since the first of the month. I was only able to write it now because of a new approach I’m taking.

Like every year, starting January, I will partake in yet another writing challenge. Honestly, I have no idea what to write. Maybe I’ll review all of the pens I’ve purchased or received. Unfortunately, there isn’t enough for 30 days’ worth of content. But testing out different pens is a hobby of mine. My current go-to pen is a Pentel Libretto Roller Gel Pen. I switched out the ink cartridge with a needle tip, and suddenly, it almost became the only pen I needed. Pilot used to be my pen of choice, but the ink streaks across the page too often. I want to try out one of their luxurious fountain pens. However, that’s an almost $300 investment.

Speaking of next year, I plan to go on another hiatus. For 3-6 months, I plan to direct my time to self-education. I want to learn how to be a better writer and storyteller. I want to learn how to type faster. I also want to dive deeper into religious concepts.

While working on To Save a Life again, I was disappointed with what I had written. So, I am working to transform it into something I can be proud of instead of abandoning it. Fingers crossed it’ll be ready by February.
